3D Atlas

BodyParts3D, Copyright© The Database Center for Life Science licensed by CC Attribution-Share Alike 2.1 Japan.

The 3D anatomy models come from BodyParts3D(release 4.0, plus about 100 structures from release 3.0 that 4.0 does not include). Reph uses their simplified models unchanged in shape; they are only converted to a web format, compressed, and the 3.0 structures moved into 4.0's coordinates. Those converted files are shared under the same licence, CC BY-SA 2.1 Japan. Part names and identifiers follow the Foundational Model of Anatomy (FMA).

Conditions

The list of conditions and where in the body they are found come from the Mondo Disease Ontology (Monarch Initiative), used under CC BY 4.0, and the Uberon anatomy ontology, used under CC BY 3.0. Reph links them to the 3D models through FMA identifiers (Uberon also provides the definitions and Latin names shown for many body parts), adds the blood supply for conditions that affect blood flow, and curates the locations of common conditions. Definitions are shortened from Mondo.

Medical content

The current Atlas descriptions are demonstration content and have not yet been medically reviewed. They are for learning and explanation, not diagnosis.
